Updates for Microsoft Office Live Meeting 2005 Service Pack 7

This document lists issues that have been resolved or require a workaround in Microsoft® Office Live Meeting 2005 Service Pack 7.


Windows-Based Live Meeting 2005 Console

Issue: A presentation that is created in the Microsoft Office PowerPoint® 2007 presentation graphics program, that has a certain design theme, and that is saved as a PowerPoint 2003 file, will not display text correctly on the Windows®-based Office Live Meeting 2005 console.

Resolution: With the Live Meeting 2005 Service Pack 7 release, PowerPoint 2007 presentations are displayed correctly on the Windows-based Live Meeting 2005 console.

Issue: When a PowerPoint 2007 presentation that includes animations is imported to the Windows-based Live Meeting console, the animation does not display.

Resolution:   The Live Meeting 2005 Service Pack 7 version of the Windows-based Live Meeting 2005 console recognizes PowerPoint 2007 file formats and displays presentations correctly.

Issue: When importing files to a Windows-based Live Meeting 2005 console, the Import Document dialog box does not list Microsoft Office 2007 file extensions.

Resolution: This issue has been resolved in Live Meeting 2005 Service Pack 7.

Issue: When running a presentation created in Office PowerPoint 2007 that has a certain design theme, the presentation may cause your computer to stop responding to your operating system if the operating system runs on Microsoft Windows Vista® RC1.

Resolution: This issue has been resolved in Live Meeting 2005 Service Pack 7.

Issue: The Windows-based Live Meeting 2005 console does not work on a computer that is running on Windows Vista RC1.

Resolution: This issue has been resolved in Live Meeting 2005 Service Pack 7.

 

Known Issues

Issue: When running a Live Meeting application sharing session on the Windows Vista operating system, the desktop background may be lost.

Work Around: On the Desktop Manager, use the Personalize option to restore your desktop setting.

Issue: When importing files to the Live Meeting 2005 Service Pack 7 version of the Windows-based console it does not recognize Word 2007 file extensions.

Work Around: When importing Word 2007 documents in the Import Document dialog box for Files of Type choose All Files.

Issue: When importing Microsoft Office 2007 Word documents to the Live Meeting 2005 Service Pack 7 version of the Windows-based console you may get the an error message, “unable to convert to Live Meeting format”.

Work Around: Log on as an administrator on a computer that is running on Windows Vista and install the Live Meeting 2005 Service Pack 7 version of the Windows-based console.
