Microsoft .NET Framework 4.0 install information for Windows Embedded POSReady 2009.

Because the Microsoft .NET Framework 4.0 has a pre-requisite that is installed by Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 (and this pre-requisite is left installed after Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 is uninstalled), you will need to do one of the following prior to installing Microsoft .NET Framework 4.0.

1. Install Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 SP1

or

2. Install and then uninstall Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 (all 3 layers)


To install Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 SP1
-Execute file dotnetfx35.exe and click Next/Ok until installation is complete. The dotnetfx35.exe file is in the ValueAdd\DotNet35 folder of the POSReady 2009 RTM DVD media.

To uninstall Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 SP1
-Go to "Add or Remove Programs" via Start.Control Panel
-For each of the following (layers), select it and then click "Change/Remove"; then select "uninstall". Click Next/Ok as needed
    Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 SP1
    Microsoft .NET Framework 3.0 SP2
    Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 SP2
