Office 2000 Microsoft Visual Keyboard 
| Microsoft Visual Keyboard is a program that supports typing in more than one language on the same computer by showing you a keyboard for another language on your screen. You might use Visual Keyboard when you change your keyboard layout from one language to another. When you change keyboard layouts, the characters you see as you type might not correspond to your keyboard. Visual Keyboard lets you see the keyboard for the language you've switched to on your screen so that you can either click the keys on your screen or see the correct keys to press to enter text.
For example, you might be working in an English version of Microsoft Word but want to type text in Greek. After you switch keyboard layouts from English to Greek, you can use Visual Keyboard to see the Greek keyboard layout on your screen. To enter Σ in your document, click Σ on the on-screen keyboard, or use Visual Keyboard as a map to press the keys on your keyboard that correspond to the on-screen keys.

To install this download:
- You may want to print this page to use as a reference when you are offline.
- Download the file from Office Update by clicking the Download Now! at the top left of this page and following the instructions in the dialog boxes.
- Double-click the VkeyInst.exe program file on your hard disk to start the setup program.
- Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the installation.
Instructions for use:
Before you can use Visual Keyboard, you must first install the keyboard for the additional language you want to use.To install additional keyboard languages:
- On the Start menu, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
- Double-click Keyboard.
- On the Language tab, click Add.
- Select the language you want to add.
- Click OK.
- Repeat steps 3 thru 5 for each language you want to add.
- To quickly switch between keyboard languages, be sure Enable indicator on taskbar is selected.
Once you have the keyboard languages installed, using the Visual Keyboard is simple.
- To start the Visual Keyboard, click Microsoft Visual Keyboard on the Microsoft Office Tools menu (Start menu, Programs submenu).
- The keyboard for the current language appears. To switch languages, look for the two-letter keyboard language indicator on the taskbar.
- To see a list of the installed keyboard languages, click the indicator once.
- To switch to a different language, select the one you want from the list.

To remove this download:
- On the Start menu, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
- Double-click Add/Remove Programs.
- In the Install/Uninstall list, select Microsoft Visual Keyboard, and then click Add/Remove.
- Click Remove All.
- Click Next.
- Click Finish to complete and exit the installer.
