The Outlook window is your navigation hub. From this window, you choose the Microsoft Outlook® items - messages, contacts, appointments, tasks, journal entries, and notes - that you want to work with. You can also get to files on your computer, on a server you're connected to, or on an Internet or intranet Web page.

When the volume of information that you receive, generate, or track becomes very large, you'll appreciate the many ways you can find, organize, and view information in the Outlook window.
