The Active Directory Sizer tool allows an estimation of the hardware required for deploying Active Directory in an organization. The estimate provided is based on an organization's profile, domain information, and site topology. If an organization consists of more than one domain, answering the domain input wizard multiple times or duplicating existing domains may model multiple domains.

Based on user input and internal formulas, this tool estimates the number of:

• Domain controllers per domain per site.
• Global Catalog servers per domain per site.
• CPUs per machine and type of CPU.
• Disks needed for Active Directory data storage.

• Amount of memory required.
• Network bandwidth utilization.
• Domain database size.
• Global Catalog database size.
• Inter-site replication bandwidth required.

To uninstall Windows 2000 Active Directory Sizer Tool:

1. Go to the location where the file was saved.
2. Double-click setup.exe.
3. Click Remove All in the Setup Wizard.
