810217: Security Update (Windows XP)

A security issue has been identified that could allow an attacker to cause a computer running Microsoft® Frontpage Server Extensions to become temporarily unresponsive. Microsoft Frontpage Server Extensions are enabled by default on Microsoft Windows® 2000 and can be added to Windows XP. You can help protect your computer by installing this update from Microsoft.

How to use
You may have to restart your computer to complete the installation.

How to uninstall
  1. Click Start, and then click Control Panel.
  2. Double-click Add/Remove Programs.
  3. Do one of the following:
    • If you are running Windows XP SP1, select Windows XP (SP2) Q810217

    • If you are running Windows XP, select Windows XP (pre-SP1) [See Q810217 for more information]
  4. Click Change/Remove to uninstall.
