Q320206: Security Update

This update resolves the "Authentication Flaw in Windows Debugger can Lead to Elevated Privileges" security vulnerability in Windows 2000. This vulnerability is the result of a flaw in the authentication mechanism for the Windows debugging facility that can allow an unauthorized program to gain access to the debugger. Download now to help prevent a malicious user from gaining elevated privileges through the debugging facility, and then running code of his or her choice on your computer.

How to use
Restart your computer to complete the installation.

How to uninstall
  1. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
  2. Double-click Add/Remove Programs.
  3. Select Windows 2000 Hotfix (Pre-SP4) [See Q320206 for more information], and then click Change/Remove to uninstall.
