Accept both end-user license agreements when you install this update.
In order for you to receive Compaq automatic updates, Windows automatic updating must be turned on. To check the Windows automatic updating settings:
- Click Start, and then click Settings.
- Click Control Panel, and then double-click Automatic Updates.
- Make sure one of the first two options is selected.
Note If you want to update your Compaq computer manually, decline the second end-user license agreement that appears when you install this update. To turn on Compaq automatic updating at a later date:
- Click Start, and then click Settings.
- Click Control Panel, double-click Compaq Automatic Updates, and then click the option you want.
To install this component successfully, files that shipped
with the original operating system must be on your hard disk. If the original
operating
system has been replaced or any of the required files have been moved or deleted, the installation will fail. If your installation fails, and you have modified the original operating system installation, this component is not appropriate for your modified computer.
Uninstall is not available.
