The Compaq Knowledge Center has improved the way you contact Compaq for technical support by replacing Compaq Assisted Support. To gain access to this and other enhanced service and support features through the Internet, you must download this new Compaq Knowledge Center.

System Requirements
  • Windows Millennium Edition (Windows Me)
  • A Compaq Presario computer with the original operating system installed.

    • Installation Issues
    If you have submitted a question through Compaq Assisted Support, your answer will be sent to your personal email address you provided on the Contact Information page.  Please verify this email address is correct by choosing Preferences, then Contact Information and then download this new Compaq Knowledge Center.

    To install this component successfully, files that shipped with the original operating system must be on your hard disk. If the original operating system has been replaced or any of the required files have been moved or deleted, the installation will fail. If your installation fails, and you have modified the original operating system installation, this component is not appropriate for your modified computer.

    Note The Compaq Knowledge Center upgrades Windows Me Help and Support on your computer to include Compaq Help topics.
