Token Handle Leak Update

This update addresses an issue in computers running Windows 2000 or Windows 2000 SP1, and is discussed in Microsoft Knowledge Base (KB) Article Q291340. Download now to prevent memory leaks when you use active server pages (ASP) to access remote resources.

This issue exists because there is an error in the way ASP pages initiate remote access to a COM+ component using local user accounts with basic authentication. A token handle leak occurs when an ASP page attempts to access a remote resource using lsass.exe, and the token establishes multiple remote connections to a computer using basic authentication credentials.

For more information about this issue, read Microsoft Knowledge Base Article Q291340. (This site is in English.)
