Domain Controller Access Violation Update

This update addresses the "Lsass.exe Causes an Access Violation on a Domain Controller" issue in computers running Windows 2000 Server and Advanced Server, and is discussed in Microsoft Knowledge Base (KB) Article Q279093. Download now to ensure that your domain controller restarts properly.

This issue exists because the creation of numerous AddressBookContainer objects causes heap damage in the Ntdsa.dll file. If you attempt to restart an affected Windows 2000 computer, it results in an access violation in Lsass.exe, which can cause the domain controller to fail.

For more information about this issue, read Microsoft Knowledge Base (KB) Article Q279093. (This site is in English.)
