DBCS Printing with PageMaker

This update resolves the "DBCS Printing with PageMaker" issue in Windows 2000, and is discussed in Microsoft Knowledge Base (KB) Article Q278438. Download now to ensure that Japanese characters print correctly on your PostScript printer.

Affected Japanese Windows 2000 computers that are running Adobe PageMaker 6.53 may incorrectly print Japanese double-byte character set (DBCS) characters, such as MS Mincho and MS Gothic.

Note Install this update only on computers that are severely affected by this issue. If your computer is not severely affected, Microsoft recommends that you wait for the next Windows 2000 Service Pack that contains this update.

Restart your computer to complete the installation.

How to uninstall
  1. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
  2. Double-click Add/Remove Programs.
  3. Select Windows 2000 Hotfix (Pre-SP2) [See Q278438 for more information], and click Change/Remove to uninstall.
