Terminal Services Server Restart

This update resolves the "Terminal Services Server Restart" issue in Windows 2000 Server and Windows 2000 Advanced Server, and is discussed in Microsoft Knowledge Base (KB) Article Q265419. Download now to ensure that your computer restarts properly.

Restart commands that are issued from a Terminal Services client to the excecutable file, winlogon.exe are not processed correctly on affected computers. If you attempt to restart a Windows 2000 Terminal Services server by clicking Start, Shut Down, and then clicking Restart, the Terminal Services server may shut down.

How to uninstall
  1. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
  2. Double-click Add/Remove Programs.
  3. Select Windows 2000 Hotfix (Pre-SP2) [See Q265419 for more information] and click Change/Remove to uninstall.
