MSN Messenger Service 3.6

MSN Messenger Service lets you see when your friends are online, send an instant message, send a file (e.g. music or photos), have a voice chat, or even send a message to a pager. New features let you call a phone anywhere in the world for a very low rate, track your stocks, and connect automatically from inside a firewall.

Note Calls placed using MSN Messenger Service 3.6 are free when made from a computer to a computer. To place calls from a computer to a telephone or mobile device anywhere in the world, you must have a prepaid Net2Phone account and MSN Messenger Service 3.6; all fees for such calls will be deducted from this account by Net2Phone. However, please note that any standard phone charges and connect-time charges you normally pay for your Internet service provider (ISP), telephone, cell phone, or mobile charges will still apply when you place calls with Messenger. Certain country restrictions also apply; void where prohibited by law. Internet calls are regulated and blocked by law in certain countries. Requires an MSN, Passport, or Hotmail® account, multimedia computer, 28.8 Kbps modem, sound card, speakers, microphone, and Internet access. Voice transmission services are made available to users of MSN Messenger Service 3.6 by Net2Phone. Subject to change without notice.

How to use
  1. The product is started automatically every time Windows restarts. An icon is available in the taskbar (next to the clock).
  2. Double-click the icon to use MSN Messenger Service.
  3. If you don't see the icon in your task bar, you can always click Start, point to Programs, and then click MSN Messenger Service.

How to uninstall
  1. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
  2. Double-click Add/Remove Programs.
  3. Select MSN Messenger Service 3.6.
  4. Click Add/Remove (Change/Remove in Windows 2000).
