This update resolves the "WebTV for Windows Denial of Service" vulnerability in Windows Windows 98, and Windows 98 Second Edition. Download now to prevent a malicious user from causing the WebTV™ for Windows application to fail. This problem can affect either the WebTV for Windows application or the computer system running WebTV for Windows. Although the WebTV for Windows application ships with Windows 98, and Windows 98 Second Edition, the application is not installed by default. Customers who have not installed WebTV for Windows are not subject to this denial of service vulnerability.
