Internet Explorer 5.01 Service Pack 1

Windows 2000 Service Pack 1 (SP1) includes this item and several other important updates. Microsoft recommends that you install Windows 2000 SP1.

Internet Explorer 5.01 Service Pack 1 (SP1) provides updates and security fixes to the Internet Explorer technology. Internet Explorer 5.01 SP1 can be installed as an upgrade to existing versions of Internet Explorer, or on computers with no previous Internet Explorer installation.

Note Installing Internet Explorer 5.01 SP1 will not change the current level of encryption on your computer.

Anti-virus software users: Some anti-virus software programs may interfere with this download. Please disable anti-virus software while installing Internet Explorer.

How to use

Click Start, point to Programs, and then click Internet Explorer.

How to uninstall

Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
Double-click Add/Remove Programs.
Click Internet Explorer 5.01 Service Pack 1.
Click Change/Remove.

Note If you install Windows 2000 Service Pack 1 after you install Internet Explorer 5.01 SP1, Internet Explorer 5.01 SP1 does not appear in Add/Remove Programs. For more information about this issue, read Microsoft Knowledge Base (KB) Article Q291558. (This site is in English).
