Critical Update, August 24, 2000

This update resolves the "File Replication Service Creates Unneeded Directories in Distributed File System Root Alternates" in Windows 2000. The Distributed File System (DFS) is a network server component that makes it easy for you to find and manage data on your network. If the File Replication Service (FRS) is enabled at the root of a DFS, each time a new DFS link is added it will replicate the creation of this directory. Download now to prevent extraneous directories in your DFS.
