This latest version of Internet Explorer includes 128-bit encryption. With Internet Explorer 5.5, you do not need to upgrade your browser with the Internet Explorer High Encryption Pack.

How to uninstall
Note If you installed Windows 2000 Service Pack 1 after you installed Internet Explorer 5.5, you will need to uninstall Windows 2000 Service Pack 1 before you can uninstall Internet Explorer 5.5.
  1. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
  2. Double-click Add/Remove Programs.
  3. Click Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5 and Internet Tools.
  4. Click Add/Remove (Change/Remove in Windows 2000).
