Compatibility Scripts for Lotus SmartSuite 9.5 (Terminal Services)

When Windows 2000 Terminal Services is enabled in application server mode, some applications require setup modifications to work optimally. While Microsoft and the provider of these scripts makes every effort to ensure that each component of an application works correctly on a terminal server, it might be necessary to contact the developer of the application in order to resolve certain issues.

When Lotus SmartSuite 9.5 is installed on a Windows 2000 Server running Terminal Services in Application Server mode, the application requires minor changes after installation because Lotus SmartSuite 9.5 does not support multiple users. This update changes the default registry permissions necessary for non-admin users so they can run SmartSuite 9 (Millennium Edition) and add the ss9usr.cmd script to usrlogon.cmd.

Note If you installed Lotus SmartSuite 9 on Windows NT 4.0 Terminal Server Edition and have upgraded to Windows 2000 with Terminal Services, you should uninstall Lotus SmartSuite and reinstall it under Windows 2000, and then run the SSuite9.cmd script. This is because the application compatibility scripts in Win2000 no longer require you to do a SmartSuite node install for each user.
