Security Update, September 2, 2000

This update resolves the "Local Security Policy Corruption" security vulnerability in Windows 2000. Download now to prevent a malicious user from corrupting parts of your computer's local security policy and disabling your network access.

If a malicious user has logon access to a network computer and corrupts its network security policy, that computer will no longer be able to log onto a domain, request files from a file server, or share files with other computers. If the affected computer is a domain controller, exploiting this vulnerability can disrupt all network operations.

For more information, read Microsoft Security Bulletin MS00-062. (This site may be in English.)
