Instant Messaging

Rich HTML IM and Ink Are Not Available When Office Communications Server Attendant and Office Communicator Are Installed on the Same Computer

Issue: If Office Communications Server 2007 R2 Attendant is installed on the same computer as Office Communicator 2007 R2, you will not be able to use ink or rich HTML instant messaging (IM) content in Office Communicator 2007 R2.

Resolution: To regain ink and rich HTML IM capability in Office Communicator, remove Office Communications Server Attendant.
