MessagePack2005_Readme

Welcome to Microsoft® BizTalk® Accelerator for SWIFT 2.0 MessagePack 2005. This readme file contains important, late-breaking information about this release of BizTalk Accelerator for SWIFT 2.0 MessagePack 2005.

Release Notes

BizTalk Accelerator for SWIFT 2.0 MessagePack 2005 is an update that adds support for the SWIFT Standards Release Guide (SRG) 2005 to BizTalk Accelerator for SWIFT (A4SWIFT) 2.0. The following are known issues for this release of MessagePack 2005.

A4SWIFT 2.0 must be installed

MessagePack 2005 requires BizTalk Accelerator for SWIFT 2.0 to be installed on the target computer.

MessagePack 2005 overwrites CommonFunctions, BREValidator, and Shared Assemblies

MessagePack 2005 setup overwrites the BizTalk Accelerator for SWIFT 2.0 CommonFunctions, BREValidator, and Shared assemblies in the global assembly cache and in the Assemblies folder located under the installation location. The MessagePack 2005 versions of the CommonFunctions, BREValidator, and Shared assemblies are backward compatible with A4SWIFT 2.0.

MessagePack 2005 uninstall requires removal and reinstallation of A4SWIFT 2.0

To uninstall the MessagePack 2005, you must completely uninstall A4SWIFT 2.0, then manually delete the A4SWIFT 2.0_SRG2005 schema directory. You must then reinstall A4SWIFT 2.0.

Verify MessagePack 2005 assemblies were copied to the global assembly cache correctly

After you install MessagePack 2005, you must verify that the new versions of the CommonFunctions, BREValidator, and Shared assemblies were copied to the global assembly cache correctly. To verify that the correct versions of the assemblies were copied, proceed as follows:

  1. Click on Start, and then click Run. Type in Assembly to open the global assembly cache.

  2. Scroll down to the Microsoft.Solutions.FinancialServices.SWIFT.CommonFunctions assembly. Right-click that assembly, and then select Properties.

  3. Click on the Version tab. Verify that the file version is 2.1.0661.0.

  4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 for the BREValidator and Shared assemblies. All three assemblies share the same version number.

If the new versions of the CommonFunctions, BREValidator, and/or Shared assemblies have not been added to the global assembly cache, then follow the steps below to add each missed file manually:

  1. Open a Visual Studio.Net command prompt by clicking Start, pointing to All Programs, pointing to Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2003, pointing to Visual Studio .NET Tools, and then clicking Visual Studio .NET 2003 Command Prompt.

  2. Move to the installation directory (<drive>:\Program Files\Microsoft BizTalk Accelerator for SWIFT\Assemblies).

  3. Enter and run the following command:

    gacutil.exe /if CommonFunctions.dll
  4. Repeat step 3 for BREValidator.dll and Shared.dll.
